Hope Long, Director
I have been an educator for 28 years. After graduating from the University of Florida, I taught elementary, middle school aged children and worked in administration in Florida, where I grew up. When I moved to Atlanta in 1999, I began teaching at our church preschool where my children attended; St. Brendan’s the Navigator in Alpharetta. After teaching the 4 year olds and toddlers there, I was blessed to be offered the position as the founding Director of the Preschool at All Saints. It was so rewarding to work with the first staff at All Saints as we opened the preschool in 2006. Bringing a Catholic preschool to All Saints was an answer to many prayers!
I count the teachers and staff members at All Saints as some of the most incredible people that I have ever known. It is an honor to work alongside such dedicated teachers who strive to make PAS an outstanding early childhood program, filled with creativity, wonder and joy! It is humbling to be surrounded by such great people, who bring His word to the children of The Preschool at All Saints. I have had the privilege of working with so many delightful families. The children of PAS bring love and light to this school, and spending my days with them is truly a gift from above.
I am a member of the Georgia Preschool Association where I serve as a teacher trainer, sharing best practices with other preschool teachers across the state. I share many of the innovative programs that we have developed here at PAS as our school has become a model for many others. Our preschool STREAM education program, Early Sprouts Healthy Cooking, Tiny Branches preschool religion curriculum, and the development and our use of our natural playground and garden are among some of the programs that I share in training other preschool staff. It is a joy to train eager teachers and to share with them the best practices that we have here in our wonderful early childhood program!
This year my husband Greg and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. We are blessed with four children. Max who is a freshman at the University of South Carolina, Mary-Margaret, a junior at St. Pius X Catholic High School and twins Jackson and Charlie, PAS alums, who are in 8th grade at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School.
This is my eleventh year at the Preschool at All Saints and my fourth year as Co-Director. I am blessed to have experienced, first hand, the preschool’s growth since our doors opened in 2005. I attended Vanderbilt University, transferred and graduated with a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Georgia. After graduation, I was sidetracked into the corporate world, but decided to go back to my original passion, children. My belief is that children are active learners and through exploration and discovery children learn from the world around them. It is our job to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and strengthen their personal relationship with God. I am inspired everyday by the children and teachers at the Preschool at All Saints.
My family currently lives in Johns Creek. My husband and I were married by Monsignor Kiernan in 2002 and have been parishioners at All Saints for over 15 years. David and I have two children, Mary-Everton (Evie) 7, and Max, 13, both successful graduates of the Preschool at All Saints. still can hear their little voices and tiny feet running down the halls! If I could keep them little preschoolers forever, I would. As a family, we enjoy traveling, golfing, and of course, following the Georgia Bulldogs!
Lisa Foy, Business Manager
I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and a concentration in Marketing. My background includes over 10 years of enterprise application software experience in a corporate setting. After taking a break to stay at home with my children, I jumped at the chance to work at the wonderful preschool my children attended. This is my sixth year as Business Manager. My goal is to streamline our business processes and implement new solutions by leveraging technology to make life easier for our PAS families. My husband, Craig, and I have been married 18 years and have two children. Our daughter, Amanda, is an 8th grader at Marist and our son, Pierson, is in 4th grade at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School.
Susan Linnihan, Toddlers M/W
I am excited to start my third year with the sweet 12-18 month olds this year at All Saints. Before becoming a Mom, I taught 5th and 6th grade in St. Paul, MN. I graduated from The University of Wisconsin in Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. I then attended The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota to receive my teaching degree. My husband, Brian, and I have three children: Kaky (14), Lucy (12), and Drew (10). We have lived in Atlanta for 9 years. I lived in St. Paul, Minnesota for most of my life before moving here. I can’t wait for another fun year!
Emily Callahan, Toddlers M/W
I am so happy to begin my third year teaching the M/W Toddlers here at All Saints! I am a native Atlantan and I taught Kindergarten for 4 years at Holy Redeemer Catholic School before I took a break to stay at home with my babies. Mary Byrne is 12, Abby is 10, Caroline is 8 and my "baby", Charlie, is 6. I was a parent at All Saints Preschool for over 5 years and am thrilled to remain a part of this special place. Susan and I look forward to having fun with the babies! My free time is spent volunteering at my kids elementary school, fostering rescue puppies looking for forever homes, and the impossible task of trying to keep my house organized.
Delina Malinoff, Toddlers T/Th
I am very excited to begin working with the Tuesday/Thursday toddlers at PAS. I love teaching, and I am thankful to be working with your little ones. My family and I have been active parishioners at All Saints since 2007. I am a catechist in the RCIA program, Parish School of Religion, and faith sharing small group. I am very excited to start work at the Preschool at All Saints! I have been a substitute teacher for the last year and really enjoy spending time with little ones. I am an Atlanta native and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary, St Pius X and Loyola University. My own children, Victoria (age 11) and Bridget (age 9) attended PAS when they were little and were so happy here. They are now at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Johns Creek. My husband, Matt, and I were high school sweet hearts and have been happily married for 16 years. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!
Carol Pajer, 2s MWF
After substituting for a few years, I am so excited to begin my first year teaching at PAS. My husband Chris and I have been married for 18 years and have two children; Jacob (14) and Olivia (10) who both graduated from PAS. My son Jacob was one of the first graduates when the preschool opened. I’ve been a stay at home mom for the last 11 years and am blessed to start back to work at this amazing school. Both of our kids had an incredible experience and I look forward to being with you and your children during these precious years. We have been parishioners of All Saints for 16 years. Our family is very active in sports and I love doing photography when I have free time.
Niemann Margavio, 2s MWF
This is my second year teaching at PAS, and I couldn't be more excited! I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Communications. I went the corporate route in public relations and media buying, until my babies were born. For the past eleven years, I've been a stay at home mom and have enjoyed every minute of it. Now that my kids are in "big" school, I'm ready to start a new chapter and it only seemed natural to return to the place my children enjoyed so much as preschoolers. I am a Dunwoody native, and continue to live here with my husband of 16 years, Tommy, my two children, Ava (11), and Cole (7), as well as our two much adored pugs, Percy and Roux. I look forward to working with you and your children!
Yvonne Smith, 2s T/Th/F
I am so excited to be working with the 2s T/Th/F class this year. With two in college and a teenager at home, I cherish every moment of the little ones pushing their way onto my lap for a story; and their looks of utter amazement when they discover the softness of a flower petal or delight in balancing one block on another. I so appreciate being a part of this time of wonder and incredible growth with you and your children.
I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from NYU and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Smith College, but consider my greatest education to be the last 20 years I have spent mothering my three children: Reid (22), Claire (20) and Kate (14). I consider it a blessing to be able to relax, get down on the floor and play with your beautiful little ones -without having to worry about dinner or laundry. I am very thankful to be here at the Preschool and look forward to a wonderful year with the incredible, blooming Two's.
Eileen Balderas, 2s T/Th/F

This is my fifth year teaching at PAS and I'm excited to continue working with your wonderful children. I am a native Atlantan and graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. I have also worked as a substitute teacher at Chamblee Methodist Preschool and taught Sunday School at Dunwoody UMC. I worked in the banking industry for 8 years after college. I have been married to Bill for 29 years and we have two children, Megan, a 2012 graduate of Auburn University, and Will, a graduate of Valdosta State. My daughter Megan was married this summer, so I now have a son-in-law, Jack Head. This is my eighth year of teaching at PAS. With both my children in college, I was ready for more involvement as a teacher at the preschool. We have lived in Dunwoody for nine years, and we attend All Saints Church. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, gardening and walking. I am very excited to be working at PAS and am looking forward to getting to know the students this year.
Barbara Smecek, 3s MWF
I am a graduate of St. Pius X High School, as are my four grown children. I have been blessed with eight grandchildren, and am enjoying each stage of their development. I spent many years working at St. Jude the Apostle school, Barnes & Noble Bookstore and Compass Group. This is my eighth year at PAS and I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful Catholic community. During the past few years I was able to attend several Educator Exchange days with other preschools. These opportunities increased my awareness of just how competent and capable young children are. They are so full of ideas and curiosity and they continue to amaze me each day. I look forward to exploring their interests with them this year.
Karen Leonard, 3s M-Th

Jeanie Burns, 4s M-F
I am so excited to be back for my fourth year at PAS! I will be co teaching with Ms. Lisa sharing discoveries with our adorable M-F 4’s. I am originally from Bethesda, MD, but have lived in many cities including Cincinnati, Charlotte, Seattle and London. I now live in Buckhead and attend The Cathedral of Christ the King. I have a BS in Marketing from Virginia Tech. Go Hokies!! I also have a Montessori Teaching Certificate and in 2011, earned an MA with Distinction in Early Childhood Education from The Institute of Education, University College London. I worked in sales before becoming a stay at home mother to my 4 daughters; Megan 26, Abigail 25, Chloe 19 and Jillian 17. My husband Emmet and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 29 years. It was during those years at home that I realized my true calling was to work with children once I resumed a career.
This past summer I had the privilege to be a presenter along with Michelle Bivens at the Archdiocese Summer Institute for Preschool Teachers. We enjoyed sharing “The Joy of Cooking with Children” featuring our experiences using the Early Sprouts Nutrition Program. Outside of my days at PAS, I am an avid reader and love movies, knitting, running and spending time with our toy poodle Sophie. I look forward to nurturing and cultivating a lifelong love of learning with your children!
Lisa Bir, 4s M-F
I am thrilled to be joining the PAS staff this year in the 5 day 4's class with Miss Jeanie. I was born and raised in Decatur, Ga and graduated from Pius X High School. I attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated with a Marketing/Finance degree. I worked for several years in the business world. Realizing it was not for me, I returned to school in Berea, Ohio where I obtained my Early Childhood Education Licensure. In 1988 I married my husband, Stephen. We settled in Cleveland, Ohio where I began teaching preschool and started a family. We have 4 boys ranging in age from 27 years old to 13 years old.
I have been involved in Education for over 25 years. I have taught many different age groups, but am always drawn back to the busyness, excitement, and wonder that abounds in a preschool classroom. The little ones never fail to teach me something new. Their to learn and the awe with which they view the world is contagious. I am so excited to be back "home" near family and friends and to have landed in such a wonderful place. The Preschool at All Saints offers a beautiful and unique setting in which to grow their faith, spirit, and mind. I feel very blessed to be a part of it and look forward to getting to know your children.
Allison Eustis, 5s

My husband Brian and I have been married 35 years and we have two daughters. Claire is 29 and Ali is 26. Every year at PAS, I am amazed by the new things I learn from your children. The fives are curious, creative, spontaneous, uninhibited, loving and delightful. That is why I love my job so much! I am happy to be back with the great staff at PAS and look forward to meeting my new students.
Jennifer Morris, 5s
As I begin my third year at PAS and my second year teaching in the Fishy 5's, I couldn’t be more excited to return to the classroom with Ms. Allison and the enthusiastic kiddos we're blessed to teach each day.
I am an Atlanta native and have grown up in the Catholic School System, including St. Jude the Apostle and Marist High School. After graduation, I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama and later went on to earn my Masters of Education in Elementary Education, with a focus in Reading, from Mercer University. I'm looking forward to using my degrees, as well as my training in other areas, to focus on Phonemic Awareness.
After nine years as a first grade teacher at Christ the King School, my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Rebecca (2). I was fortunate enough to find a new teaching family here at PAS that allowed me to spend more time with her. Come late September of 2016, we will welcome a baby boy to our family!! While on maternity leave, I know Ms. Kristin will have a wonderful time teaching with Ms. Allison as they foster a love of learning. I'm looking forward to another fun year at our amazing preschool and introducing our son to all the wonderful families who make it such a special place.
