Stay & Play

2017-18 School Year

The enrichment activities we will be offering are:
Stay & Play, Playball®, Creative Movement and Dance®, Tennis Academy of the South, Art Club and Ninja Kids.

Stay and Play is a wonderful opportunity for children to stay after school and partake in enrichment classes or just play with their friends. The hours of Stay and Play are from 12:30 to 1:15pm. Your child will be escorted from their room to the activity of your choice. You will then pick your child up from the gymnasium foyer or scout hut, depending upon the program, at 1:15 pm. Children must be potty trained to participate.

The price for Stay and Play is $5.00 in advance and $10.00 for drop in. Stay and Play payments for the entire semester will be made via the eTuition online payment system.  You will be redirected to our eTuition site after submitting the "2017-18 Fall Semester Stay and Play Registration Form" (link to online form below).  All drop in payments must be cash or check only (link to drop in form below).  Should you decide to sign up for Playball®, Creative Movement and Dance®, Tennis Academy of the South, Art Club or Ninja Kids, tuition will be due to the vendors for those activities in addition to the daily Stay and Play fee due to the preschool.  Vendor tuition payment instructions are provided in each vendor's registration form.

Vendor Program Registration Information

Creative Movement and Dance® is offered on Mondays (Pre-Ballet) and Thursdays (Tap-Ballet)

Our Pre-Ballet class is a structured program designed for the early development of technical ballet and movement.  Children must be 2.5 years (30 mo.) old and potty trained to enroll. It precisely meets the needs and limitations of preschoolers by providing a carefully paced sequence of exercises to develop physical conditioning with poise and grace. Children will learn self-discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left right discrimination, patterns in movement, and pre-ballet.

Tap Ballet is a perfect combination class!  Children must be in the Fours or Fives class to participate.  The class is divided with 20 minutes of tap, and 25 minutes of ballet.  Since ballet is the basis for all dance technique, the combination of tap and ballet work hand in hand.  The technical training is taught through ballet, which in turn helps teach the proper shifting of weight and patterns in movement for tap.

Playball® is offered on Mondays and Thursdays.

Children must be 2 years (24 mo.) old to enroll. Playball helps improve gross motor development, increase concentration skills, build muscle tone, eye-hand/eye-foot coordination, and improve balance.

Playball is a fun, structured and active way of engaging children in physical activity at a young age.  Our goal is to teach sport properly so that any child who attends one or all of our five programs will achieve a level of competence providing them with a springboard into future sports participation.  The Playball program is for boys and girls of every ability and interest and provides foundation sport skills for athletes of the future.  The success of the Playball sport program is that through competent sports participation, you child will secure a solid base from which to develop many other and more important aspects of their lives.  Playball is created to suit the needs and abilities of ALL children - to give them the confidence to participate in all activities, both on and off the field.  At Playball, children learn the basis for such sports as baseball, basketball, hockey, tennis, soccer, volleyball, and more.
